Votiva is a safe and highly-effective way to restore optimal vaginal health, treat sexual dysfunction, improve the appearance and function of your most intimate area and treat urinary incontinence.

Understanding how the vagina ages

The vagina changes considerably over time.

Your tissues lose youthful collagen and elastin. Your estrogen levels drop, resulting in dryness, irritation and diminished satisfaction. Your labia stretch after childbirth, causing discomfort and self-consciousness.

For many women, these changes ultimately detract from their quality of life. When this occurs, Votiva vaginal rejuvenation at the Paradise Valley Skin Klinic™ can help you feel like yourself again.

Vaginal rejuvenation What you need to know

Votiva is a comfortable, non-surgical treatment that is performed quickly and comfortable in office and is designed to rejuvenate the external and internal vaginal tissues.

When done correctly, it has the power to:

  • Dramatically improve vaginal skin laxity
  • Increase sensitivity
  • Improve blood flow
  • Improve intimate wrinkles
  • Treat urinary incontinence
  • Tightens weak vaginal muscles

How does Votiva work?

Votiva uses radiofrequency (RF) technology. This energy emits a gentle heat that remodels and tightens the entire vaginal area – inside and out. It is a simple yet powerful procedure that has helped many women improve their intimate form and function.

Are you a candidate?

Many of our clients can be considered candidates for Votiva.

In general, the procedure is best for women who:

  • Have given birth
  • Have gone through menopause
  • Are experiencing uncomfortable vaginal symptoms
  • Are unhappy with the appearance of their vagina
  • Looking to improve intimacy

What to expect during your treatment

When you arrive at the Paradise Valley Skin Klinic™ for your Votiva procedure, we will guide you to your private treatment room where we will review your concerns, perform an examination, and discuss your treatment plan with you. We will then apply a numbing cream to the area to ensure your comfort.

During treatment, we will use two different devices:

  • Forma V. The Forma V device administers RF energy to the internal and external tissues. It tightens the vaginal walls and the labia, resulting in softer, smoother skin and enhanced intimate function.
  • Fractora V. Fractora V is a resurfacing device. It enhances tone and texture, while heating the external vaginal tissues to stimulate collagen and elastin production, dramatically improving external vaginal laxity.

Depending on your needs and goals, we may use one or both of these devices during your procedure. The treatment is not painful, and at the very most you may feel a slight warming sensation similar to that of an ultrasound.

After treatment

Because Votiva is non-surgical, there is virtually no downtime associated with the procedure. As such, you will be free to return to work and your normal daily routine right away. However, you should avoid sexual intercourse for a few days.

In terms of results, you should notice an immediate improvement that continues to progress over the following weeks as collagen and elastin levels increase.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

Dear Patients:

Your safety is our number one priority. Please know that we join our community in taking advised precautions to limit the spread of the Coronavirus. For the time being we are planning on continuing practice as usual, with some additional precautions.

We have always routinely wiped down our office and patient exam chairs with medical-grade sanitizing wipes. We will expand this to include door knobs, toilet and faucet handles and will have hand-sanitizer available to you at check-in.

No staff will be allowed to come to work with a cough or fever, or if they have had contact with anyone with confirmed Coronavirus. We kindly ask for the same considerations from you. If you have any flu-like symptoms or have recently traveled, please call the office to reschedule your appointment.

We appreciate your flexibility as we will be limiting routine follow-up appointments over the next few weeks and ask patients to not bring friends and family members to their appointments to avoid the amount of patients we have in the office at one time. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please call and let us know.

Sincerely, Daniel Shapiro MD, FACS
