The Power of a Balanced Chin

In general, attractiveness is based on balance and symmetry. When every facial feature has a complementary shape and proportion, beauty is inherent. As such, when the chin is unbalanced, it can throw off the entire face and create an undesirable cosmetic effect.

What Can a Chin Implant Do for You?

A beautiful woman has a curved, graceful face with a smooth chin and gentle jawline. The face of a handsome man signals strength with a chiseled jawline and solid chin. Our chin augmentation can help create these features by strengthening and refining the entire neck and jaw area with the best chin implant Scottsdale has to offer.

If your face is out of proportion because of a weak or recessed chin, a chin implant with Dr. Shapiro can:

  • Restore facial harmony
  • Sculpt a beautiful facial profile
  • Balance out a prominent nose
  • Create a refined jawline

The Consultation

During your initial consultation, Dr. Shapiro will help you determine if our Phoenix chin implant surgery is right for you. He will review your aesthetic goals, assess your features, and discuss the results you can expect to obtain with this procedure. He will also answer any questions you have and make sure you are fully informed about the surgery before moving forward.

The Surgical Process

Dr. Shapiro will create a small incision beneath the chin. Through that opening, he will create a small pocket in the area and gently place your formed implant.

After checking the device for symmetry and size, he will close the incisions with sutures. At that point, you will be free to return home to begin the recovery period.

This surgery can also be performed in combination with liposuction along the neck and jawline for additional balance and contour.

The Recovery

Chin implant surgery has a very fast recovery time with minimal post-operative bruising. In addition, the procedure has a long safety track record and is associated with very few complications.

Rarely, numbness or infection can develop after surgery. After surgery, it’s common for our Scottsdale patients to experience mild to moderate discomfort in the treatment area, though these effects should dissipate within a day or two.

Most patients are mobile the day after surgery and sutures will be removed one week post-op. Dr. Shapiro will provide guidance on when you can resume strenuous exercise during your post-operative appointments.
