Though the forehead takes up about a third of the surface area of the face, no features lie within its bounds so wrinkles are especially apparent. Though some patients may benefit from the standard brow lift procedure, many should consider the non-surgical forehead lift in Scottsdale, Arizona. Rather than manipulating and eliminating excess skin, the forehead can be smoothed with anti-aging injections.

Also called a mini brow lift, the components of the non-surgical brow lift procedure can be tailored to best suit the patient’s needs right in our Scottsdale Skin Klinic facility with no down time. Dysport, which has been marketed internationally for over a decade, is very similar to Botox. The injection would prevent the underlying muscle from performing the movements that create lines. Another option for wrinkle treatment is receive injections of long-lasting dermal fillers, such as Sculptra or Radiesse. These injections not only bridge the gaps of sunken skin to create a smoother surface texture; they also stimulate collagen growth so your body can naturally mimic the effects of the injections.

Soft Tissue Fillers

The signs of facial aging are also the result of slow collagen production. Collagen is a natural protein that supports healthy, elastic, and growing skin. It is very similar to a lattice in your garden that provides a support structure for your vines to grow. In nonsurgical facelifts, soft tissue fillers will substitute for natural collagen as the skin grows back faster.

Most soft tissue fillers are made of natural collagen, as well as hyaluronic acid, another substance found in the connective tissues of the body. The brand names that Dr. Shapiro regularly uses each have their own benefits.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

Dear Patients,

It is with great pleasure that I announce the reopening of my practice for both surgical and non-surgical services on May 1, 2020. As per the governor Ducey's executive order on April 22, 2020, elective surgery has been allowed to proceed, with appropriate precautions taken by health care professionals to ensure continued vigilance against the spread of Covid-19.

Our office staff and the staff of Paradise Valley Cosmetic Surgery Center and Surgical Recovery Center have proactively taken necessary precautions to meet strict criterion for health providers according to the state of Arizona. These include necessary patient screening for Covid-19, strict protocols for cleaning offices and treatment rooms, adequate PPE, and continued social distancing. As before, waiting areas will have minimal capacity, and friends and family members should not accompany one into offices or treatment areas.

With great anticipation we welcome you back to the practice, and wish you all continued health and safety.

Sincerely, Daniel Shapiro MD, FACS
