The signs of aging are more than skin deep. As your skin begins to lose elasticity and develops pockets of fatty tissue, it can be a blow to your self-confidence. AccuTite is a method of face and body contouring that remodels underlying fat deposits while tightening the skin with radiofrequency (RF) technology.

What is AccuTite?

There was a time when the only remedy for an aging face or body was surgery, accompanied by lengthy downtime. Today, however, the aging process has become much more manageable and aging gracefully doesn’t mean accepting loose, sagging skin or unsightly fat deposits. AccuTite is a minimally-invasive method of tissue rejuvenation which targets specific areas of skin laxity while sweeping away stubborn fat deposits.

How does AccuTite work?

AccuTite can be performed with only local anesthesia in the comfort of our luxury Scottsdale offices. A small incision will be made, through which a very small probe will be inserted with a second parallel probe above it on the surface of the skin.

RF energy is delivered deep into the skin via the probes, stimulating your body’s production of collagen and elastin while liquefying the fat cells through radio-frequency assisted lipolysis. This process allows the fat cells to be swept away by your body’s own natural process while simultaneously tightening the skin.

What areas does AccuTite address?

The rejuvenating benefits of AccuTite can address many delicate and small areas of the face and body which need to be rejuvenated, including the:

  • Brow
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Under the eyes
  • Bra line
  • Hands
  • Knees

Is there any downtime as part of the recovery from AccuTite?

Treatment with AccuTite requires very little downtime, allowing you to get back to your normal routine within a few days. Most people feel confident and able to return to work within three or four days of the procedure. For two weeks, limit yourself to activities that are lighter in nature to avoid swelling.

Most men and women find they are able to resume light exercise approximately 7 days following treatment. While many patients see results a few days following the procedure with final smoothing, firming and tightening achieved within four to six months as your skin regenerates from within.

Is there anything I need to do before undergoing treatment with AccuTite?

You should arrange for someone to drive you home from your procedure, and to assist you for the first day. If you are a smoker, you should stop smoking at least three weeks prior to treatment with AccuTite. You should discuss all medications and supplements you take with Dr. Shapiro prior to your treatment, as medications such as blood thinners will need to be stopped several days before treatment to minimize risks.
