What can Ultherapy do for you?

Depending on your needs, the entire face may be treated for an overall tighter, more toned appearance, or we may focus on specific, individual areas. Many of our Scottsdale clients have Ultherapy performed on the face and neck to address:

  • Lowered eyelids
  • A slightly drooping brow
  • Lost chin and jawline definition
  • Marionette lines and folds
  • A downturned mouth
  • Aging cheeks

Are you a candidate?

Ultherapy is an ideal solution for men and women who have mild to moderate sagging on the face and neck, but aren’t yet ready to undergo more invasive surgical procedures, such as a facelift or brow lift. In general, the vast majority of our Ultherapy clients are in their 30s and experiencing:

  • A slightly lowered brow line
  • Loss of jawline definition
  • Mild sagging skin
  • Fine lines

During your private consultation at our Scottsdale Skin Klinic, our team will review your medical history and discuss your aesthetic goals to help you determine if Ultherapy is in your best interest.

What sets Ultherapy apart?

Ultherapy is the first procedure of its kind to use focused ultrasound energy to first visualize, and then treat, the deep support structures of the skin.

The solution targets the SMAS, or the superficial musculoaponeurotic system – which is the same deep layer of tissue that is addressed during a surgical facelift.

Ultherapy treatment works by stimulating the production of fresh collagen – which is what keeps your skin looking fresh and youthful. By gradually strengthening the skin from within, the procedure lifts and tones for natural, long-lasting results. With his education and experience, Dr. Shapiro offers arguably the best results in Ultherapy Phoenix has to offer.

What to expect during the procedure

Your Ultherapy in Scottsdale will be performed in the comfort of our Skin Klinic. It is completely non-invasive, comfortable, and does not require any anesthesia. Depending on the size of the treatment area, your appointment can last anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes.

To begin, we will thoroughly cleanse and prep your skin. We will then apply gel to the treatment area and gently place the ultrasound applicator on your skin. From there, we will visualize the underlying structures of your skin to identify precisely where to administer the energy.

To perform the procedure, we will slowly move the ultrasound applicator over the treatment area, delivering small, controlled amounts of energy to the soft tissues. The ultrasound energy will target the deepest layer of your skin, leaving the surface layers intact and unharmed.

The recovery

There is little to no recovery period or downtime associated with Ultherapy. As such, you will be free to return to work and your normal daily routine immediately, making this a true “lunch time” procedure.

In terms of side effects, Ultherapy is a safe procedure with very few risks. Your skin may appear flushed immediately after your appointment, though this should dissipate very quickly. Less commonly, patients report bruising or temporary numbness in the treatment area.

Your Life A to Z: Ultherapy

How the Ultherapy Treatment Works

The results

For most of our Phoenix patients, Ultherapy produces natural, long-lasting results. You should see some immediate skin tightening benefits after just one treatment and your results will continue to improve over the next few months as your body responds to the procedure by producing fresh collagen.

The duration of your results will depend on your body. The procedure cannot stop the aging process from progressing, so new lines and signs of laxity will emerge through the normal aging process. As you notice these issues, you will require an additional treatment to preserve your youthful look.

If you are considering tightening and firming aging skin with non-surgical Ultherapy in Scottsdale, AZ, schedule a consultation at our renowned Skin Klinic today. Please use our contact form to get in touch.

Ultherapy FAQ

How many Ultherapy sessions will I need?

How many Ultherapy sessions will I need?

Many of our Scottsdale clients need only one Ultherapy procedure initially. However, you may benefit from a second or third session if you want to address additional skin laxity. And of course, as the skin continues to age, touch-up treatments on an ongoing basis will be necessary to preserve a naturally youthful look as you grow older.
