Are you tired of shaving, waxing, tweezing, and plucking? Now, it’s possible to discover your “beautiful” without the tedious, painful, and often short-lived fixes. Laser hair removal provides a fast, easy solution for permanent hair reduction, allowing you to look and feel your best without all the hassle.

The secret to laser hair removal is the clinically-proven technology that targets and destroys cells responsible for hair growth without harming surrounding skin. It’s a simple approach to permanent hair reduction that’s fast, easy, and FDA-cleared. Best of all, treatment sessions can take just minutes.

Treatments are administered every 4 weeks, and generally, 4 to 6 treatments are sufficient.

How does it work?

To eliminate hair, the laser emits gentle pulses of energy that pass through the skin into the hair follicle. The follicle absorbs the energy and is destroyed therefore unable to reproduce hair.

Am I a good candidate for laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal can be performed on light and dark skin types, even tanned skin. Treatment efficacy depends on a number of factors, including hair color, hair texture and area to be treated.

What does the procedure feel like?

Patients describe a range of sensations, from tingling to the snap of a rubber band, as the laser treatment is administered. Since there is little to no downtime, you can return to your daily activities immediately.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

Dear Patients:

Your safety is our number one priority. Please know that we join our community in taking advised precautions to limit the spread of the Coronavirus. For the time being we are planning on continuing practice as usual, with some additional precautions.

We have always routinely wiped down our office and patient exam chairs with medical-grade sanitizing wipes. We will expand this to include door knobs, toilet and faucet handles and will have hand-sanitizer available to you at check-in.

No staff will be allowed to come to work with a cough or fever, or if they have had contact with anyone with confirmed Coronavirus. We kindly ask for the same considerations from you. If you have any flu-like symptoms or have recently traveled, please call the office to reschedule your appointment.

We appreciate your flexibility as we will be limiting routine follow-up appointments over the next few weeks and ask patients to not bring friends and family members to their appointments to avoid the amount of patients we have in the office at one time. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please call and let us know.

Sincerely, Daniel Shapiro MD, FACS
