ResurFX is a state-of-the-art, non-ablative fractional laser that delivers remarkable skin resurfacing results. The laser energy targets the deepest layers of your skin to stimulate the production of fresh collagen and elastic fibers, which work to refresh your appearance from the inside out.
The ResurFX technology works by heating the deepest layers of your skin through tiny dots on the surface, which stimulates collagen production. The intensity of the ResurFX laser, along with spot size and location, can be customized to meet your aesthetic needs.
This procedure, called a SMAS facelift, is similar to the standard procedure because the skin is never pulled back. Instead, the underlying fat and musculature of the face is addressed for a thorough and natural result.
Your ResurFX treatment will be done in our medical spa in Paradise Valley. To ensure your comfort, we will apply a topical numbing cream before the procedure begins. As the laser moves over your skin, you may feel a warm or prickly sensation – but you shouldn’t experience any pain. A typical treatment should last approximately 30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.
Immediately after your appointment, you will be free to return home. You may notice some redness or swelling, but these effects typically dissipate within a few days. Most of our clients are comfortable returning to work the very next day. However, it’s important to stay out of the sun and wear SPF as your skin will be more sensitive than usual.
ResurFX is designed to improve your skin texture, tone, and appearance by encouraging your body to produce fresh collagen. Results may be noticed after your first treatment; optimal results are typically achieved with a series of 3-6 treatments scheduled 3-6 weeks apart. The results will continue to improve over a period of approximately six months as your body completes the collagen regeneration process. This treatment may be done on non-facial skin.
