Due to the fact that skin loses elasticity with age, the nasolabial folds area is one of the most popular places for dermal fillers. This area is more commonly known as the laugh lines, but for Restylane Refyne® it can also include marionette lines. Restylane Refyne® is a dermal filler that uses hyaluronic acid to smooth out and volumize the places around the mouth most susceptible to wrinkles and fine lines.

After just one injection session Restylane Refyne® can give you a smooth, youthful appearance for up to 12 months. This is a cutting-edge injectable that gives patients flawless, even skin with little to no downtime and minimal side effects.

Nasolabial folds and marionette lines no longer have to be a constant reminder of your age; Restylane Refyne® could be the answer you’ve been looking for.

With over 95 years of combined experience, the staff at Shapiro Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Skin Klinic is proud to offer Restylane Refyne® to our clients, led by Dr. Shapiro. If you are in the Scottsdale area in Arizona and are interested in receiving a Restylane Refyne® injection, contact us to schedule a consultation. We look forward to hearing from you!

What is Restylane Refyne®?

Aging can cause the loss of soft tissue in areas of the face, and hyaluronic acid acts as a replacement for this lost tissue. It is a very popular ingredient for dermal fillers, as can be seen in one study that shows a 700% jump in the use of hyaluronic acid from 2003 to 2004.

Hyaluronic acid is an already naturally occurring acid in the face, which means that Restylane Refyne® can smooth and refine laugh lines and marionette lines with a beautiful and natural-looking finish.

What are the Side Effects?

Like most dermal fillers containing hyaluronic acid, patients who are injected with Restylane Refyne® may experience bruising and swelling following treatment, but these side effects quickly resolve.

Depending on the severity of the side effects, most patients immediately return to their daily activities. Consult with our medical team regarding other possible side effects.

If you are interested in smoothing out your nasolabial folds and marionette lines, Restylane Refyne® may be what you’re looking for.

Contact us today to schedule a consultation and discuss if Restylane Refyne® is right for you. We will also discuss your expectations as well as anything (such as pregnancy) that might disqualify you from being a good candidate for this injectable.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

Dear Patients,

It is with great pleasure that I announce the reopening of my practice for both surgical and non-surgical services on May 1, 2020. As per the governor Ducey's executive order on April 22, 2020, elective surgery has been allowed to proceed, with appropriate precautions taken by health care professionals to ensure continued vigilance against the spread of Covid-19.

Our office staff and the staff of Paradise Valley Cosmetic Surgery Center and Surgical Recovery Center have proactively taken necessary precautions to meet strict criterion for health providers according to the state of Arizona. These include necessary patient screening for Covid-19, strict protocols for cleaning offices and treatment rooms, adequate PPE, and continued social distancing. As before, waiting areas will have minimal capacity, and friends and family members should not accompany one into offices or treatment areas.

With great anticipation we welcome you back to the practice, and wish you all continued health and safety.

Sincerely, Daniel Shapiro MD, FACS
