One of the newest dermal fillers, Juvéderm Vollure® is used to correct wrinkles for up to 18 months. Similar to Juvéderm Voluma® (for the cheek area) and Juvéderm Volbella® (for lip augmentation), Juvéderm Vollure® treats the photoaged areas in the nasolabial folds, also known as laugh lines. To date, 18 months is the longest any dermal filler has shown results in the nasolabial folds.

Along with other Juvéderm® injectables, Juvéderm Vollure® uses hyaluronic acid to provide volume that serves to plump and lift areas of the face. A good life means lots of laughter, which means deep laugh lines. Juvéderm Vollure® treats moderate to severe wrinkles around the mouth so that you’ll be ready to experience that good life all over again.

With over 95 years of combined experience, the staff at Shapiro Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Skin Klinic is proud to offer Juvéderm Vollure® to our clients, led by Dr. Shapiro. What are the Side Effects?

Most side effects only last 14 days or less and may include:

  • Mild firmness
  • Swelling
  • Redness
  • Bruising

Consult with our medical team for more information or to find out about any other possible side effects.

What is Juvéderm Vollure®?

Juvéderm Vollure® adds an extra step that a scalpel never could: volumization. Juvéderm Vollure® fills in areas of the face to smooth out wrinkles and create a long-lasting youthful, healthy appearance.

As we age we lose soft tissue volume, and Juvéderm Vollure® acts quickly to correct these defects. Aging also causes the amount of natural hyaluronic acid in the face to decrease, which translates into less hydrated, less elastic skin. Juvéderm Vollure® can help to give some hydration and elasticity back to you. This cutting-edge dermal filler is a smooth, soft injectable that has a high fluidity and elasticity that allows it to even out the deepest laugh lines and wrinkles.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

Dear Patients:

Your safety is our number one priority. Please know that we join our community in taking advised precautions to limit the spread of the Coronavirus. For the time being we are planning on continuing practice as usual, with some additional precautions.

We have always routinely wiped down our office and patient exam chairs with medical-grade sanitizing wipes. We will expand this to include door knobs, toilet and faucet handles and will have hand-sanitizer available to you at check-in.

No staff will be allowed to come to work with a cough or fever, or if they have had contact with anyone with confirmed Coronavirus. We kindly ask for the same considerations from you. If you have any flu-like symptoms or have recently traveled, please call the office to reschedule your appointment.

We appreciate your flexibility as we will be limiting routine follow-up appointments over the next few weeks and ask patients to not bring friends and family members to their appointments to avoid the amount of patients we have in the office at one time. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please call and let us know.

Sincerely, Daniel Shapiro MD, FACS
