What is Hi-Definition Liposuction?

Hi-Definition Liposuction is a precision body contouring solution that can help you achieve a slimmer, more chiseled build. It is a liposuction procedure that uses ultrasound or SAFE Liposuction techniques to break up select areas of fat without harming the surrounding tissues. It removes fatty deposits that encompass groups of muscles and smooths the skin’s surface – ultimately revealing a toned physique.

The Benefits Of Precision Body Contouring

When compared to traditional fat reduction procedures, there are a number of benefits of Hi-Definition Liposuction for our Scottsdale clients. They include:

Refine and highlight your muscles

Hi-Definition Liposuction removes superficial and deep fat, allowing Dr. Shapiro to sculpt athletic features, such as a six-pack abdomen.

Treat any area of the face or body

These techniques are powerful enough to remove large pockets of fat and gentle enough to treat your most delicate features – including the neck and arms.

One procedure is all it takes

Many of our Scottsdale clients are able to achieve their optimal body contouring results with just one VASER, SAFE Liposuction or Hi-Definition Liposuction treatment.

Minimal pain and downtime

For less comprehensive contouring, Dr. Shapiro can more easily remove unwanted fat, resulting in less pain and a quick recovery period with VASER or SAFE Liposuction techniques.

Skin tightening

With SAFE Liposuction and Hi-Definition liposuction techniques, there is added benefit of skin tightening to achieve better ultimate contour.

Dr. Daniel Shapiro A world leader in SAFE

Dr. Shapiro has studied extensively in his quest to perfect the art of body sculpting and in 2009 he was introduced to Hi-Definition Liposculpture and was immediately hooked. Astounded by the before and after results, Dr. Shapiro researched the technique and began a correspondence with Dr. Hoyos, a plastic surgeon based out of Bogota, Colombia, and the creator of Hi-Definition liposuction. He was cordially invited to travel to Colombia and train with Dr. Hoyos himself.

At that time, Dr. Shapiro became one of seventy-five surgeons worldwide and one of seventeen surgeons in the United States to have adopted this gold standard technique. Dr. Shapiro brought the Hi-Definition liposuction technique back to Arizona in 2010 and was the first—and only—surgeon statewide to be offering this treatment. Dr. Shapiro is proud to offer this technically demanding and advanced technique to patients in Arizona and those that travel from across the world for his expertise.

The procedure What to expect

During your consultation appointment at our Paradise Valley office, you and our team will discuss if Hi-Definition Liposuction is the right solution for you. Hi-Definition Liposuction is usually performed under general anesthesia.

During the procedure, a small probe will then break down fat cells without affecting or damaging nearby tissue. Once the fat is broken down, it will be gently removed through a small tube. The final and most critical step is the artistic contouring that differentiates the hi-definition liposuction technique.

The length of the procedure will depend on the number of treatment areas and the amount of excess fat you need to address. In general, it can last anywhere from one to several hours. You will need to rest at home for about 12 hours after the procedure, followed by two to three weeks of avoiding strenuous activities.

Are you a candidate for Hi-Definition Liposuction?

Dr. Shapiro and his Scottsdale staff can determine if Hi-Definition Liposuction is right for you during your initial consultation. In general, the best candidates:

  • Are at a healthy weight
  • Have an active lifestyle
  • Cannot target fat in certain problem areas
  • Feature good muscle tone

In general, this procedure is for patients who are generally fit and healthy – but have problem areas and stubborn pockets of fat that prevent them from achieving the sculpted look they desire.

What results can I expect from Hi-Definition Liposuction?

Hi-Definition Liposuction is an advanced body sculpting solution. As such, patients can expect defined, highly sculpted areas where excessive fat used to be prior to their procedure.

Many of our Phoenix patients in the past have been able to see defined abdominal etching, contoured upper arms, muscular-looking pectorals and other effectively sculpted areas.

It’s important to note that Hi-Definition Liposuction results are susceptible to future weight gain. As such, you will need to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle after your procedure to preserve your new, contoured figure. With our Hi-Def Lipo in Scottsdale, Dr. Shapiro and his team can help you achieve a sculpted, muscular-looking body.
