Thankfully, I was lucky enough to find a surgeon, Dr. Daniel Shapiro. After five minutes in the consultation I knew that he was who I was going to have perform my rhinoplasty. There a few things that really stood out to me from that initial visit. The first thing being that after introducing himself, he asked me what my ethnic heritage was and I explained to him that I had Czechoslovakian, Norwegian, and Danish roots. This question made me excited because it told me that Dr. Shapiro has an eye for the facial structures of different cultures and that whatever changes he was going to make to my nose would still be in harmony with my natural features.
In making the decision to go through with the rhinoplasty I had to be assured that my surgeon and I were on the same page because I was expecting nothing less than perfection for my nose. My biggest fear was that I would come through surgery with an unsatisfactory result; that people would immediately notice I had had a nose job and ask me why. I am happy to say that my new nose is perfect! I could not be happier with my results and I have Dr. Shapiro to thank. Because he took time to really listen and work with me, the nose that was achieved exceeded my vision and was worth every penny.
