Breast Reduction

Breast reduction procedures are often desired not only for aesthetic reasons but also in order to relieve pain and restore health. Overly large breasts can often cause neck, back, and shoulder pain. They can also reduce the desire to exercise.

A breast reduction procedure removes excess skin and breast tissue, especially along the sides of the breasts near the arms, while leaving tissue in the middle of the breast to maintain the patient’s desired cleavage. The areolae are reduced in size and positioned further up the breast, leaving a youthful teardrop shape beneath.

Liposuction can also be used along the sides of the breast if necessary, creating a tighter contour to the sides and breasts. Liposuction makes the breast stand on its own rather than the lovely contour being overwhelmed by extra fat and skin along the sides.
