Vaser Liposculpture

“Liposuction” typically refers to the de-bulking of large areas of fat. Liposculpture, liposuction’s more artistic cousin, refers to a sculpturesque definition of muscles using fat to enhance them. The procedure is designed to sculpt out a natural and athletic muscular structure while removing extra fat and inducing skin retraction.

VASER liposculpture is a highly advanced liposculpture procedure that uses VASER technology to assist in melting fat internally before it is suctioned away. This melting of the fat makes the tissue easier for Dr. Shapiro to sculpt. VASER gives the surgeon control over power levels during emulsification of fat, making it much safer than the first and second generations of ultrasonic liposuction.

Skin retraction is essential to a successful liposculpture procedure. The important connective tissues in the skin that are preserved during liposculpture retract when fat is removed from beneath them. They fit tightly over the newly formed muscular structures like shrink wrap.
