Many patients travel from Canada, especially from Toronto and Montreal, to undergo plastic surgery with Dr. Shapiro in Arizona. This allows patients to benefit from Dr. Shapiro’s wealth of experience and expertise while also enjoying all of what Arizona has to offer. Some of the more common procedures that patients travel to Dr. Shapiro for include facelift surgery, liposuction, fat grafting, breast augmentation and rhinoplasty.

Shapiro Aesthetic Plastic Surgery is located in Paradise Valley within easy access of the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). Our Canadian plastic surgery patients often elect to stay at the Paradise Valley Surgical Recovery Center which is located just steps from Dr. Shapiro’s office. Other patients choose to stay at one of our excellent area hotels, such as the W Scottsdale or The Phoenician.  We can assist you in finding affordable, suitable Arizona accommodations. We can also conduct a consultation over the phone with photos that you send in beforehand. During the consultation, we will answer as many of your questions as possible.

Many patients find it helpful to travel with a loved one, but we know this is not possible for everyone. For this reason, we work with a nursing service to assist patients who are traveling alone. Your specific surgery will determine the post-op course. Generally, we recommend that out of town patients stay until all sutures have been removed. In some cases, when this is not possible, we may use dissolvable sutures instead. Once you have returned home, we will continue to monitor your recovery and results over the phone and via email. We know that traveling can be inconvenient and expensive, but we will work with you to make the travel and surgical process as pleasant and free of stress as possible.
