Mini Face Lift

A mini face lift or “cheeklift” is designed for patients who show early signs of facial aging which generally include slipping of the cheeks due to a small amount of excess skin, early jowling which results from skin and facial fat descending along the jawline, and prominence of the nasolabial fold.

A mini face lift is most appropriate for patients with adequate skin tone and elasticity. It is generally performed in patients in their late 30’s or 40’s, who show wrinkles and fine lines with early formation of deep folds. Very often it is a simple procedure that can be performed in our Scottsdale area office with mild sedation and local anesthesia.

Mini Face Lift Procedure

A mini face lift or cheeklift uses smaller incisions than a full face lift. These incisions are generally placed inconspicuously along the ear, hidden behind the front ear cartilage down to the earlobe. Through these small incisions lax cheek skin can be removed lifting the cheeks to a more youthful position. This procedure can be easily performed in the office under oral sedation and local anesthesia, by Dr. Shapiro, a Scottsdale mini face lift specialist, with little down time or recovery.

Mini Face Lift Results

The results of a mini face lift are significant in that they reduce wrinkles and folds of the cheeks, mildly improve the jawline, and soften the deep nasolabial folds that appear with age.
