Limited Incision Face Lift
A limited incision face lift is a
rhytidectomy that produces its results with incisions along the anterior sideburn following down to the earlobes. As opposed to standard face lifts that also involve incisions behind the ears, a limited incision face lift accomplishes results with less scars, but must be chosen in the right patients, that is patients with only moderate facial skin and muscle laxity. This procedure also improves the neck through an incision beneath the chin whereby fat is removed, and muscle banding is addressed. A limited incision face lift has the advantage that scars are absent behind the ears, and is popular in patients that object to the thought of any scars that may possibly be seen when hair is worn up or in a ponytail. Even in standard face lifts performed by Dr. Shapiro, a Scottsdale limited incision face lift expert, hairstyles do not need to be modified after surgery.
