Liposculpture

Liposculpture, also called body contouring, is a more artistic form of liposuction designed to sculpt out an athletic muscular structure while removing fat and tightening skin. In general, “liposuction” refers to the de-bulking of large areas of fat, while liposculpture refers to definition of masculine or feminine muscular structures.

Who can get liposculpture?
Liposculpture is often recommended for patients who are in decent physical shape, usually with a body mass index below 30. It is for patients who have trouble seeing tangible definition of their muscles, despite being active and maintaining a healthy diet.

All areas of the body can be treated by liposculpture and have produced unbelievable, sculpturesque results.

A liposculpture procedure During the procedure, Dr. Shapiro, a Scottsdale liposculpture specialist, literally melts away certain areas of fat beneath the skin by using ultrasonic sound energy. This melting of the fat is essential to creating athletic results. Next, certain areas of fat are suctioned away, while others remain. Sections between muscle groups—called depressions—are highly suctioned to define the muscles, while remaining fat is sculpted to provide athletic volume to the muscles.

In Hi Def Liposcuplture fat is selectively liquified between specific muscle groups and the depressions between them, resulting in a very athletic structure. Artistic fundamentals like light and shadow are used to give the ultimate 3D appearance of athletic definition.

Skin retraction for sculpted results
Skin retraction is essential to a successful liposculpture procedure. Because important connective tissues in the skin are preserved during liposculpture, the procedure causes the skin to tighten around newly formed muscular structures. In Hi Def Liposculpture procedures, skin contraction is taken to the next level by utilizing the Vaser technology to fully release the skin from underlying tissues allowing the skin to "shrink wrap" to highlight the new body contours. This process is the result of the skin's natural connective tissue activation, ultimately retracting to accentuate the new youthful curves and angles of a more youthful body contour.
